Drug Uses
Reglan is used for treatment of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (heartburn) in patients who do not react to other medications. It is also used to treat nausea, vomiting, heartburn, prolonged fullness after meals and for treatment of symptoms associated with a certain digestive problem in diabetic patients (diabetic gastroparesis). It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
How Taken
Use Reglan as directed by your physician. Take Reglan 30 minutes before a meal. It may take several days to weeks for Reglan to work. Do not stop taking Reglan without consulting with your physician.
More Information
Reglan can cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. These effects can worsen if Reglan is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Reglan with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you respond to this drug. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, visit your doctor. Reglan can be used only by the patient for whom it has been prescribed. Do not take less or more or take it more often than directed by your doctor.
