Drug Uses
Paracetamol is used for treatment of mild to moderate pain due to headache, muscle aches, backache, joint pain, arthritis, the common cold, flu, toothache, teething pain and menstrual cramps. Paracetamol also reduces fever in adults and children. This drug is often used in people who cannot take anti–inflammatory (e.g. due to stomach ulcer), as it is gentle on the stomach.
How Taken
Use Paracetamol exactly as directed by your doctor. Do not exceed the prescribed dosage as it can be very dangerous and life threatening.
More Information
Paracetamol can cause dizziness. These effects may worsen if Paracetamol is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Take Paracetamol with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you respond to this medication. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, visit your doctor. Paracetamol should be used only by the patient for whom it has been directed. Do not take less or more or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
