Drug Uses
Atarax is used for relief of anxiety and stress motivated by psychoneurosis and organic disease states in which anxiety is manifested. It can be used for other situations as determined by your physician.
How Taken
Atarax comes in tablets to take in orally. The usual daily dose for adults is 50–100 mg. Children over 6 years should take Atarax 50–100mg daily in parted doses. Daily dosage for children under 6 years of age is 50mg divided into couple of doses.
More Information
Atarax can cause dizziness. These symptoms may worsen if Atarax is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Atarax with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to this drug. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, contact your physician. Atarax should be used only by the patient for whom it has been ordered. Do not take less or more or take it more often than recommended by your physician.
