Drug Uses
Reglan is used for treatment of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (heartburn) in patients who do not react to other medications. It is also used to treat nausea, vomiting, heartburn, prolonged fullness after meals and for treatment of symptoms associated with a certain digestive problem in diabetic patients (diabetic gastroparesis). It can also be used for other situations as determined by your doctor.
How Taken
Use Reglan as ordered by your physician. Blow Reglan 30 minutes before a meal. It can take several days to weeks for Reglan to work. Do not stop taking Reglan without checking with your doctor.
More Information
Reglan may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. These symptoms may worsen if Reglan is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Reglan with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you respond to this medication. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, visit your physician. Reglan should be used only by the patient for whom it has been prescribed. Do not take less or more or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
