Drug Uses
Reglan is used for handling symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (heartburn) in patients who do not respond to other medications. It is also used to cure nausea, vomiting, heartburn, prolonged fullness after meals and for treatment of symptoms associated with a certain digestive problem in diabetic patients (diabetic gastroparesis). It can also be used for other conditions as recommended by your physician.
How Taken
Use Reglan as prescribed by your physician. Take Reglan 30 minutes before food intake. It may take several days to weeks for Reglan to work. Do not stop taking Reglan without checking with your physician.
More Information
Reglan may cause drowsiness, giddiness, or blurred vision. These effects may worsen if Reglan is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Reglan with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you react to this drug. If your symptoms do not improve or if you feel bad, call your physician. Reglan can be used only by the patient for whom it has been directed. Do not take less or more or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
