Drug Uses
Imdur is used for preventing angina (chest pain) caused by heart disease.
How Taken
Use Imdur as directed by your physician. Take Imdur with or without a meal. Take Imdur with half glass of water or other liquid. Imdur tablets should be swallowed whole. Do not break, crush, or chew before swallowing. Do not suddenly stop taking Imdur. You may have an increased risk of side effects (eg, an angina attack). If you need to stop taking Imdur or add a new medicine, your doctor will gradually lower your dose.
More Information
Imdur may cause dizziness or lightheadedness. These effects may worsen if Imdur is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Imdur with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to this drug. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, contact your doctor. Imdur should be used only by the patient for whom it has been advised. Do not take less or more or take it more often than recommended by your doctor.
