Drug Uses
Zithromax is used for healing of infections caused by certain bacteria. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your physician.
How Taken
Use Zithromax as directed by your doctor. To clear up your infection completely, take Macrobid for the full course of treatment. Keep taking it even if you feel better in a few days. Failure to do so may decrease the effectiveness of this treatment and may increase the risk that the bacteria will no longer sensitive to Zithromax and will not be able to be treated by this or certain other antibacterial medicines in the future.
Additional Information
Zithromax may cause drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, or lightheadedness. These effects may worsen if Zithromax is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Zithromax with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to this drug. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, contact your doctor. Zithromax should be used only by the patient for whom it has been prescribed. Do not take less or more or take it more often than advised by your physician.
