Drug Uses
Wellbutrin (Anti Depressant), acts directly on the brain and other nerve cells. It is used to treat depression, ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder), bipolar depression, chronic fatigue syndrome, cocaine addiction, nicotine addiction, and lower back pain. Also, helps in quitting smoking (identical to Zyban). It is chemically unrelated to tricyclic, tetracyclic, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, or other known antidepressant agents.
How Taken
Wellbutrin comes as a tablet to take by mouth. The general dosage is one tablet 1–3 times a day. It may be taken with or without a meal. Wellbutrin should be swallowed, do not crush, chew, or divide it. For best effect Wellbutrin should be taken regularly for a couple of weeks. Even you feel better do not stop taking Wellbutrin without your doctor`s approval. If you have been taking Wellbutrin in large doses or for a long time, your doctor will most likely want to gradually lower your dose before you stop taking Wellbutrin. Do not take more or less of this drug, than your doctor has prescribed to you.
More Information
When taking this drug you may feel dizzy or lose conscious when getting up from sitting or lying position. Try getting up slowly, if that does not help and the problem continues you should notify your doctor. Limit the amount of caffeine intake during your Wellbutrin therapy.
