Drug Uses
Lopressor is indicated for treatment of high blood pressure, alone or with other medicines. Long-term treatment of chest pain and reduces the risk of death because of heart problems in patients who have had a heart attack. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your physician.
How Taken
Use Lopressor as directed by your physician. Take Lopressor with a meal or straight after the meal.
More Information
Lopressor may cause drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, or lightheadedness. These effects may worsen if Lopressor is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Lopressor with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to this drug. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, contact your doctor. Lopressor should be used only by the patient for whom it has been prescribed. Do not take less or more or take it more often than directed by your physician.
