So our AZ tossers are rocking a benefit this Sunday Feb 28th and I vote you all go! Nice work guys!
WHAT?
“An evening of contemporary musical theatre written by hot, new composers Brad Alexander, Eli Bolin, Adam Gwon and Andrew Lloyd Webber, mixed nicely with some classics...reinvented by the Arizona Theatre Company's cast of [title of show]. All proceeds will go directly to DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS to aid Haiti."
WHY?
“A poll released Tuesday, February 9th, found that 59 percent of Haitians in the United States had lost “loved ones” in the earthquake. Eighty percent of residents of Haiti live in poverty, according to the CIA World Factbook. And with the estimates of casualties in the hundreds of thousands, it’s hard to imagine the devastation and hard to imagine what one individual can do to help. Nonetheless, we collectively felt we could do our part by hosting an evening to raise some funds to aid Haiti. We decided to put together a cabaret to showcase our vocal prowess, encyclopedic knowledge of contemporary musical theatre, impeccable delivery of comedy, and our unpretentiousness. So we're doing a cabaret where we can really show our inner diva …and it's to benefit Haiti, so that's good too."
